THE VAN HOEY BLOG
WELCOME TO THE VAN HOEY BLOG Here you will find the latest news and events, past and upcoming.
Our home is being refurbished day by day. Jim and I bought a historic home that was ownded by the civil war hero, Henry H. Norrington, who was a founding father
of Bay City and inventor. He had a patent on a bank stamp that punched holes in checks instead of ink. The house was built in 1860 and
was converted into a hospital in 1911. I have an apartment upstairs. My living room used to be an operating room in which nine people expired during the Spanish
Flue Pandemic of 1917. Lots of history in that home!
The 2018 Van Hoey Hayride & Bonfire is setting up to have the largest guest list ever.
